Podium

The ProfitSystem integrates with Podium. Podium provides a variety of services to retailers, and ProfitSystem integrates with their reputation/review management system.

When an appointment is Started or Completed in the ProfitSystem, we send the customer details to Podium so Podium can engage with the customer to leave a review for the shop.

When a sale is revenue realized, or a pickup inventory item is marked Taken, we send the customer details to Podium.

Getting started

  1. Contact Podium and sign up for their review/reputation service. Be sure to indicate that you are using the ProfitSystem from BBL Systems and Solutions.

  2. You must be using the Appointment module to send appointment updates to Podium
  3. Enable Podium by going to the E-Commerce/Integrations tab of the Stores setup, and check the option for Enable Podium Integration? The integration must be enabled for each store, and each store will have a separate ID.
  4. If using switchboards, it's located at Housekeeping->General Setup->Stores->E-Commerce/Integrations tab.
  5. If using menus, go to Setup->General Setup->Stores->E-Commerce/Integrations tab.
  6. The Podium ID is shown below the checkbox. Give this ID number to Podium.
  7. Click Save in the ProfitSystem, then restart the program.
  8. The integration is enabled.

Technical details

We communicate with Podium as follows:

Appointment details are sent to Podium when an appointment is created or changed, including all status changes. The details sent are
customer name
phone
email
appointment type
appointment ID
appointment status
appointment date/time in UTC
register/workstation name

Sale details are sent to Podium when sale is Revenue realized, or marked Taken. The details sent are
customer name
phone
email
sale category
sale price
date taken
revenue realized date
register/workstation name

Pickup inventory details are sent to Podium when a pickup inventory item gets a Pickup Notified date. The details sent are
customer name
phone
email
description
style code
ticket number
date notified
register/workstation name

Multi-store operations will have a different Podium ID for each store.
