Resource Status Board

The Resource Status Board is a separate Windows application that displays the customers currently using each of the resources defined in the ProfitSystem.

The application has a PORTRAIT display orientation and would run on a Windows computer that displays to a monitor rotated to a portrait view. The display should be on a wall or in a public area for customers to view. The app is designed to show an appointment waiting list, i.e. Walk-in appointments in a monitor's Portrait view. The oldest customer appointment/walkin entries will be at the top of the list, visually indicating the customer's place in the waiting list.

Since it is customer facing BBL offers customization services for colors, graphics and other look & feel features of the application. These are quoted when requested.

To exit the Resource monitor application, a user must mouse click on the grid which will bring up a Pin-Pad form where any user can enter the secret code, 1234, to exit from the Resource Status Board.

The application is dr.exe and and is provided by BBL when requested. It is comprised of several files and fonts. Fonts should be installed and the files should be copied to its own folder such as c:\DR

Pass DR a skill and the program will find appointment types that utilize that skill and for appointment date must be for current day, appointment must be Status: Started or Waiting

The program should be stopped each night and started each morning so it release all files for other system maintenance such as backups.

The DR program requires two command line parameters:

dr [livedata] [group/skill]

[livedata] is the path to the data files, such as c:\programdata\profitsystem\livedata\ [skill] is the type of appointments to display. Only appointments that use the specified skill will be displayed

The DR program should be setup in a shortcut on the computer containing the Resource display so it can be set to automatically run on computer start-up or to make it easy for a user to start.
