Kenect

The ProfitSystem integrates with Kenect. Kenect provides a variety of services to retailers.

When an appointment is Started or Completed in the ProfitSystem, we send the customer details to Kenect so Kenect can engage with the customer to leave a review for the shop.

When a sale is revenue realized, or a pickup inventory item is marked Taken, we send the customer details to Kenect.

Getting started

  1. Contact Kenect, and be sure to indicate that you are using the ProfitSystem from BBL Systems and Solutions.
  2. You must be using the Appointment module to send appointment updates to Kenect
  3. Enable Kenect by going to the E-Commerce/Integrations tab of the Stores setup, and click the Generate Key button under Kenect. If using switchboards, it's located at Housekeeping->General Setup->Stores->E-Commerce/Integrations tab. If using menus, go to Setup->General Setup->Stores->E-Commerce/Integrations tab.
  4. The Kenect ID is generated and copied to the clipboard.
  5. Give this ID to Kenect, usually it's easiest copy/paste it into an email.
  6. Click Save in the ProfitSystem, then restart the program.
  7. The integration is enabled.

Technical details

We communicate with Kenect as follows:

  • Appointment details are sent to Podium when an appointment is created or changed, including all status changes.
  • Sale details are sent to Podium when sale is Revenue realized, or marked Taken.
  • Pickup inventory details are sent to Podium when a pickup inventory item gets a Pickup Notified date.
  • When new prospects or customers are created, we send the details to Kenect.
  • On initial setup, the program will send all prospects and customers created in the last 90 days to Kenect.
  • Multi-store operations will have a different Kenect ID for each store.
