EverywhereBridal/Prom/Retail provides the option for two tax rates from which the user may select when ringing up a sales transaction.
Tax 1... A numeric percentage, example 7.25% Tax 2... A numeric percentage, example 7.25% Special Tax... Some areas require specialized tax calculations. They are named after the first state encountered, but may be used for other states as well when the calculation is proper for your area. The current specialized calculations are:
-
Massachusetts: only computes tax on the portion of the sales price greater than $175.
-
New York: will not charge tax on any item with a sale price of less than $110. Tax will be calculated on the full amount of the selling price for an item sold for $110 or more.
- Vermont: will not charge tax on any item with a sale price of less than $110. Tax will be calculated on the full amount of the selling price for an item sold for $110 or more.
- Rhode: only computes tax on the portion of the sales price greater than $250.
VAT Tax checkbox... When checked, the sales tax is NOT listed separately on a ticket/receipt and the sales price displayed on the customer's ticket/ledger incorporates the tax amount. Select this option for regions with VAT pricing (sales tax is included in the selling price), The Tax will not be included in any system sales reports. Sales VAT Tax will be listed on Daily Report and Tax Report to show tax collected. The sales tax will be computed using TAX 1.
Note: Some stores prefer to compute Retail Selling Prices for inventory and Services INCLUSIVE of VAT Tax. In this case Leave this VAT setting disabled (unchecked) and Sales Tax rates 0. This approach requires the VAT to be manually separated from all Sales Reports and Sales Tax report WILL NOT be utilized..
Receipt Title / Vat Invoice ... Optional. Text entered will display within the header of the receipt printed for the customer. Revenue round to ... All manually entered currency values, as well as, calculated currency values are rounded .01 and will be reported rounded to .01. The "Revenue round to" value entered will force the totals appearing on customer's receipt/ledger to be rounded by the amount entered. For example entering .05 (nickle) will round any currency appearing on a customer ticket/ledger/receipt to the nearest nickel. A 0.00 entry will be no rounding.

Per Day Late Fee ... When a rental order is completely returned, the system will determine how many days late it is being returned (if it is late) and multiply the daily rate entered here times the days late. Per Day Late Fee Not to Exceed ... This is the maximum charge for a late fee when a rental order is returned late.
