Kiosk Website Registration

Administration -> Web Forms -> Customer Kiosk From

Overview

A Kiosk Customer Registration form is a public facing data entry form designed to capture information concerning a customer, such as contact information, phone, email and sizes. Submitted data will be utilized for automatic creation of a Customer profile form or the updating for an existing Customer profile.

Multiple data capture forms may be created by the shop for use in difference scenarios.

It is ideal for customer/prospect self registration as they enter the store, either via their personal phone or a kiosk workstation station or tablet provided by the store. This insures fast entry as a number of customers could be checked in concurrently, as well as more accurate data entry as the customer is actually typing in their own personal information.

Once the customer is registered with an event date, a Registration label/tag or printout may be optionally generated from the Event form's Label function which once printed could be handed to a sales associate.

These forms are ideal to be used by shop to to capture Customer details requesting information on shop's products & services from the shop's web-site. This process creates them as a prospective customer in the system which can be used for follow-up and marketing.

Multiple Registration forms may be created and each are customizable in terms of customer data to collect and even data label names.

Registration forms can be inserted on public facing web pages where anyone can access or hidden web pages for use as in-store Kiosk registrations.

Occasionally a customer may already exists within the system. When the customer enters the same email on the Web Registration as already exists on their customer profile, then the data entered on the Registration form will simply update the data that exists on the current customer profile form.

The system will automatically generate the code needed for the form. It is presented in an HTML iframe which is very simple to place on a store's website. Copy iFrame, log in to the store's website, create a page, open up the HTML window of the page, Paste the HTML iframe code & save page. Add a link to the page to your website or add the page to the menu if you wish Site visitors to see and navigate to the form. Other wise the page is hidden and you can provide a link to customer visiting the store for in-store data capture only. No real HTML programming required for the form to be created.

A Shop may create one or multiple Registration Forms. Each Registration form will have unique HTML within a iframe snippet that will be placed on a hosted web server web site.

The minimum data that a Registration form can accept is a First name, Last name and eMail address. These fields will appear on each registration form created. The form setup page contains all the field names that are available to be captured. Each has a blank custom field name. When any text appears in the blank customer field label, then that field will appear on the registration form using the custom label description entered.

There are also ten User Defined (UD) fields and a Comments field. When these UD fields are placed on a Registration form & the field data is completed by the User, the results are inserted into the Customer form profile's Note section.

Customer Contact Information Labels

This section lists the available Customer fields. The Customer field label is displayed above a blank rectangle box. For the field to display to the Visitor/Customer, a field name label value must appear in the rectangle box. This could be as simple as typing the same field label into the blank box.

The exception to this rule is the First name, Last name and eMail, These fields will appear on every form.

On a form submit, the system will attempt to locate an existing customer by matching on the form entered email. If the email is not found, the system will Add the customer and update the customer profile information with the form values entered. If the customer is found by the entered email, then the existing customer profile data will be updated with the submitted form values.

If there are multiple Customer profiles existing with the same eMail, then the form will only update the first email match.

There exists ten User defined fields. These fields do not match up to any existing Customer Profile fields. These fields will appear on the Kiosk form when a field label value appears in the blank box beneath it. On form submit, the Customer/Visitor entered information for these user defined fields will be inserted into the Notes of the customer profile (and also to the event when it is created by the form having an event date [form visitor must submit an event date value into the future for the kiosk form to create the event]). When a User visits a Customer Profile and clicks Notes, the form information will be displayed.

Also when the form is submitted, the system will automatically send an email to the store's reply email address entered on the store setup form. This email is a recap of entered form data plus a hyperlink to the customer's updated profile, making it fast for a User to access the profile and to also go to their linked event when it was created with the presence of an event date with form submittal.

This is ideal for high volume stores where there is a need to capture customer information very quickly and to place them on a stand-by dressing room list.

When the purpose of the form is to collect measurements, then the GENDER option will control whether female or male measurement fields will appear. If no gender is selected then the system will default to Female measurements.

Event Date ... Adding an event date to the form is optional, but highly recommended. When the event date is on the form, upon submittal, it will add the customer to a new customer profile (normal step) and also create an event linked to the new Customer profile where the event date will be stored. If the form is a female gender the customer will be the bride, if the gender is male the customer will be the groom. When the form is submitted and there presently exists a (or more than one) profile for the customer, the system will only update their most recent profile (not create a new one) nor will it update an event if one is linked to the customer profile .

With an event date the EB Marketing reports may be utilized to obtain the prospects (customers with 0 purchases) utilizing the event date filter (usually marketing is performed on prospective customers with future upcoming events)
