Register Setup List

Action: REGSETP

This list tab displays the list of Register Names and the Store ID each is assigned to. Registers are the actual PCs/Terminals that use the ProfitSystem program. Registers can have individual behavior configurations which are set on the Register Details & Printer tabs.

Note: A Register name must be unique and should indicate it's location within a store. .e. FrontLeft or Office01. Multiple users/Sales Associates will use a single register, so Registers are not linked to users.

A store may have one Register or many. In multi-store implementations there would many Registers in multiple stores.

The Register List tab list the existing Register configurations. Select any and the Details or Printer tabs are active for the selected Register.

During ProfitSystem installation the operator will be prompted for a Register name for the PC performing the install. The name the operator provides will be automatically added to the Register form and inserted into the PC's TPSWIN.INI file.

Note: The Register name may be modified here, but it must also be modified within the PC's INI file. Otherwise the PC will not be able to start ProfitSystem.

In multi-store implementations Register names must be manually entered within the Register Setup form. Each PC/Terminal username login must match the Register names entered. Contact BBL for specific instructions.

Buttons

Add... Creates a new Register configuration

Delete...Deletes the selected Register

Done... Closes the form and returns to the previous menu.

Save... Save any edits.

Cancel **... Cancels and throws away any changes made to the information.
