Opening The Register

Each workstation running the application is considered a register. When the proper system options are enabled ProfitSystem will automatically display the 'Open Register' form for the FIRST register that starts up for business on a particular day.

Complete the form to open the store. This process sets the business DATE to the date the user entered into the Open Store form. This is performed only once from any register for the store.

To open the register

• Enter your sales associate ID in the Sales Associate field.
• Enter/Confirm the ProfitSystem business date.
• Click the OPEN STORE button.
• If this is the first time you are running ProfitSystem or you have not set up the sales associate's information yet, enter MANAGER and click OPEN REGISTER.

"ProfitSystem business date was". This the prior business date and shown for reference.

Computer date is... The current computer date.
