Sources for Templates

ATemplates always have a source, and the source controls what merge fields are available and where the template can be used in the ProfitSystem. For example, if the source is Customer, then Customer merge fields can be used in the template, and the template can be used from the Customer form, or anywhere related to a customer.

If only one entry for that source is created then the ProfitSystem will automatically select it. Each source can be used with specific letter/tag types which are documented below. A email/sms/label/tag will not perform properly when the source or type is not correctly set.

• Customer: Printed for Customers from the Customer form, Marketing, or the Members tab of the event.
• Prospect: Printed for Prospects, from the Prospect form or Marketing.
• Retail style (InvHeader): To print a tag for a style code, with no size/color or barcode information. This is very rarely used.
• Retail size (InvDetail): Printed from the SCW (size/color/width) form, printed for a style, size, and color. Most shops use this source for garment tags.
• Pickup: Printed for an item in pickup inventory.
• Retail Store: Available for printing from View Store Statistics inventory form and required for Print Tag mass tag printing with optional multi-store feature turned on. It can include store specific information as quantity and store statistics.
• Fitting: Available with the optional Custom Fitting software module. This source would make the document available thru the print option of the Fitting software.
• Laundry (printer/(type: Tag): Available with the optional WinTPS Plant software module. This document would automatically print when items are returned from laundry (option must be enabled when WinTPS is installed).
• Mailing: Printed for contacts contained within a mailing list.
• Appoint: Available with optional BBL Appointment module. Users can send followup communication from the appointment form to the customer of the appointment.
