What is a store style number

A store style number is a unique code you assign to identify the style of an item. The store style number does not identify it's size, color (that is done via a SKU, barcode, or UPC code) Rather, the store style number is analogous to the vendor style number. You create the store style number so you don't have to use the vendor style number.
