Question:

I need sizes added to Size charts that I received from the eStyle Import.

Answer:

When using the eStyle Import, the ProfitSystem Size Charts, and the sizes in them, initially come from eStyle. After eStyle’s Size Charts get pushed down to ProfitSystem, the ProfitSystem does allow one to open any of these Size Charts and add any additional sizes they would like. However, doing this does NOT sync any new size entries back to eStyle, and therefore they will not appear under the “Available Sizes” on the eStyle Central Web page. The only way for this to happen is to request eStyle add the necessary sizes into the required Size Charts on THEIR end. eStyle pushes the Size Carts down to the ProfitSystem, but the ProfitSystem does NOT push Size Charts back to eStyle. If you either add completely new Size Charts into ProfitSystem, or add new sizes to existing Size Charts in ProfitSystem, they will NOT appear on your eStyle website. ONLY eStyle can do that. If, as you say, a Vendor like Jasmine 9or any other) doesn’t provide the Size Chart info to the eStyle company, it is NOT BBL’s responsibility to add it, nor CAN we. BBL has ZERO control over the Size Charts eStyle chooses to maintain or not to maintain. If you were to get the necessary Size Chart(s) info from Jasmine, and then contact eStyle directly, they may agree to add the chart for you, and if they do, you could then import the new chart(s) in a future eStyle import into your ProfitSystem (by checking the 'During import, reset all size/color charts?' box.

Question:

Can we add colors to Color Charts received from eStyle? Colors can get 'retired', yet I may have a sample in that color and we need to have the ability to keep that color for that purpose.

Answer:

Just as BBL doesn't have any control over the sizes in the Sizes Charts eStyle chooses to maintain, we also do not have control over the Colors in their Color Charts, nor do we have any control over whether or not they choose to 'retire' a color in one of their Color Charts. BBL simply interfaces with the colors eStyle provides, but we do NOT create them on eStyle's end, nor can we. If you open one of your Color Charts in ProfitSystem, and select the Details tab, you will see a column showing what eStyle calls a 'Code' This is the Color Code' that eStyle uses to identify a color in their Color Chart. The name in the ProfitSystem could be different that the name as it is spelled out in eStyle, but the defining factor in this case is the Color Code. Just like the Size Charts, you could add a new color entry to a Color Chart, but without that Color Code, eStyle doesn't know what that color is, because eStyle is the one that provides the Color Code. Therefore, for the situation where eStyle no longer maintains the Color that a shop may still have in local Inventory, the shop would have to contact eStyle and ask them to add that color (and its Color Code) back to their list. Then, the shop would need to import the new chart(s) in a future eStyle import into your ProfitSystem (by checking the 'During import, reset all size/color charts?' box.
