Sales Process

New Sales are created on Customer Tickets. A Customer must exist so a Ticket may be created to hold the Sales and Payment transactions for that Customer. Customers with a ticket may be created in one step from Quick Sale, Events and Customers. Events are Used to group multiple Customers and allow for a Store User to access all Customers (members) of an Event. (Example of an event is a Wedding party)

Creating Customer profiles (Customer -> Add) or adding members to an event or creating a Quick Sale does automatic ticket linking of the first ticket.

Tip: A customer may have 1 or more sales ticket. In the bridal business it is not uncommon for a shop to keep one ticket (folio) for a customer and keep adding sales and payments to that single ticket. This makes it simple to see what the customer has purchased or paid for. If the Customer happens to be in another event, a second ticket (folio) may be created to hold all the transactions for that event and linked to the existing customer. No need to have multiple customer entries for the same person.

To Create new Sales go to Main Menu -> Sales, then select Quick Sale, Customer or Event option. Click Add if the Customer or Event does not already exist, otherwise enter the customer name, email or phone number to search for them.

Access to existing tickets is accomplished from the Customer Menu option by looking up the specific Customer or by accessing a specific event's member(Customer).

Once the Ticket is displayed, you can enter sales, payments, adjustments to past sales, etc.

Review Sales Video within Playlist for additional information.

When creating a Quick Sale, the User has the option to enter a customer name, email and phone. If left blank or with no email or phone number entered, the system will add the ticket to a generic Customer called Not Given. Any Quick Sale ticket may be recalled by accessing the Not Given customer. If an email or phone is optionally entered during the Quick Sale ticket creation, then the system will attempt to locate an existing Customer matching the email or phone. If found the Quick Sale ticket will be linked to that customer. If a Customer does not exist with that email or phone, then a new one will be created and the Quick sale ticket is linked to that customer.
