Sales by Associate

Reports -> Associate / User -> Sales by Associate

This report is utilized to analyze sales performance by Sales Associate. It can also be used to calculate commissions and/or Spiffs owed to Users / Sales Associates.

The report groups sales, adjustments and cancellations by User / Sales Associate and Category.

Up to two Users may be assigned to ticket Sales Transactions when an item is being sold to a customer. The SALES amount of the transaction will be listed on this report for sales occurring within the date range entered. When two SAs are on the SALES transaction, the sales price & adjustment to that sale will be split 50/50 automatically on the report.

In the scenario of two Users on the SALE, the Sales by Associate report will automatically split both the sale revenue and spiffs, 50/50 among the two users. Example say there was a Sale of 800 with a Spiff of 80 with two Users assigned to the ticket Sales transaction. Each User would show on the report, 400 for the sale and 40 for the spiff thus when both are added equal the original Sale/Spiff amounts. Extra Fees applied to the SALES transaction assume the date of the SALE transaction for reporting.

Spiffs are set on each Inventory style and can be a fixed amount or a percentage of the sale. When spiffs are a percentage, adjustments to sales will show a decrease in the spiff amount. Cancellations will erase the spiff amount.

Adjustments (increases or decreases) + cancellations will be deducted from the User / Sales Associate sales in the report date range entered. Example last month a Sales Associate rang up a sale for 100. The report for last month would show the 100 sale for the user. The next month the sale is canceled. The report would then show a deduction of that amount for the user in that time period.

In addition, the Inventory Style item may have a SPIFF bonus applied within the Retail Inventory in a percentage of net sale or fixed amount. The User will be awarded that spiff on this report and totaled for the report period.

This report will show all sales by Associate or only those sales of commissionable inventory categories.

Commissionable status is set on the Inventory Category, meaning any item sold having a commissionable category setting will show in the report.

Also for the time period selected for the report the system will total the hours worked for each User/Sales Associate as they are entered within the time clock system. Then the total sales of the period divided by the hours worked to receive the sales per hour for the associate, a very valuable number when attempting to determine over all production and profitability of each User/Consultant.

Users with security level of clerk may run this report only for themselves.
