Zebra Thermal Tag Printer

EverywhereBridal/Prom/Retail creates Price tags and Pickup Inventory labels using printers manufactured by ZEBRA. Specifically the ZEBRA EPL and in the future ZPL printer languages.

The very popular LP2844 (EPL) was recently replaced with the GC420d (EPL / ZPL). Both of these inexpensive commercial desktop Direct Thermal printers are comfortable printing 1 or 1000 labels at a time. EverywhereBridal/Prom/Retail prints tags/labels via browsers and the system sends the tag information as RAW text. We suggest using the ZPL driver when available otherwise select the EPL driver version during install.

Troubleshooting

On a Mac or PC, to check for the operation of the Printer Helper Utility open a browser and type in the URL below.

https://printserver.bblsystems.com:29562

Insecure link, only used for testing.

http://localhost:29561/

When the URL is entered, an EverywhereRetail RocketShipIt web page like this image will appear indicating the Utility is properly running. The utility must run before the system can print tags.

When more than one printer driver is installed it may be necessary to select the DEFAULT printer, to print the tags to, within the Printer Utility.

If you can't print tags, check if you are getting a security shield in the web browser. If so, turn off the browser s ecurity by clicking the security shield in the URL window.
