To Do

TO-DO is a tool to help the shop's sale associates to remember important tasks they must complete.

Any user may create tasks for themselves or any other user. To-Dos are created by displaying the To-do form which may be done from customer & event profiles.

Also To-Dos are automatically created when:

Issued Purchase Orders when changes such as size, color or style are made. ToDos are created & assigned to all Users of the store with role of Manager A To-Do alert reminder may be added to the main menu via the Administration-> System Settings which displays the number of To-Dos past due for all users.

Not completed TO DOs assigned to a User will be recapped into a reminder email sent nightly to the email address on file in their system profile, found here Administration -> Manage Users.

The To-Dos form off the main menu will display the open and completed To-Dos for the logged in user.

Enter a filter of complete by Start/End date range. The system will not allow the begin date to be after the end date. Check the Completed checkbox to see all Completed To-Dos and/or select a user(s) to see their To-Dos. By default the To-Dos listed are for the logged in user. It is Ok for any user to complete another user's To-Do. The idea is that the store employees work as a team for a high level of customer service.

Clicking the Filter button will show a list of To-Dos that match the filter conditions and two function buttons:

  • Edit - Allows for the details of the existing To-Do to be modified
  • Delete - Permanently deletes the To Do with no confirmation

The Add button creates a new To-Do and display the fields for editing.

The Delete button will permanently erase the To-Do.

The grid has another powerful field level filter ability. Each column heading has a antenna icon . clicking this icon will display a Boolean Filter box just for that field.

Combining values and expressions provide the ability to locate very specific information.

When the User has a email address entered for them in the User Management form, a email of open TO DOs assigned to them will automatically be emailed as a reminder.

Fields

User Id ... The user this To Do is assigned to Complete by Date ... The date this To Do should be completed by. Normally To Dos should be completed ASAP. Message ... Details concerning what the To Do is, the actions or tasks that need to be done.. Notes/Response ... General comments about the To Do like what was done or what the customer said. Completed date ... The date the To Do was completed Created by ... User who created the To Do
