How do I reassign a Customer & Receipt to a different event
Move members from an Event to another Event
Occasionally a duplicate event may be created and members added to it by mistake. A event may be made to go away once the event is determined a duplicate. Members may be reassigned to the event that is being kept.
The steps to follow are:
- Locate and enter the duplicate event.
- Write down a list of the members names and email/phone when they have sales transactions for the duplicated event
- Delete the members from the duplicated event, by displaying the member list and clicking the X. Deleting the member only removes the member from the event, it DOES NOT delete the member/customer from the system.
- Click the event's Detail Tab, change the name to Duplicate Event and move the event date to one year into the past. Save changes
- Locate and access the event being kept
- Add the members from the Duplicated event that were written down in Step 2
- Visit the SALE transactions for the newly added members and select the current event's EVENT ID so sales will be properly linked to this event
Sales & payments may have been duplicated as well. Duplicated sales must be cancelled and duplicated payments must be zeroed out. Both can be accomplished from the customer's receipt / ledger.
Assign an existing customer to an Event as a new Member and link the customer's existing ticket to event
- Add the event
- On event members or Rental or Bride or Groom or Primary contact tab select the member and utilize the Magnifier icon to select the correct customer. The customer search grid will appear making it easy to match on name, email or phone number to locate and select the correct customer.
- Visit customer's existing ticket and assign it to their newly linked event ticket once the Customer is assigned/linked to the event
