First Steps

Scheduling appointments is a great way for a shop to control workflow and reduce customer wait time.

Taking appointments is a enhanced service and store management must decide the type of appointments that will be offered. Appointment management requires some time to utilize, and could alienate customers whom prefer to walk-in without an appointment. Think of restaurants - some take appointments, some do not. Most try to service walk in diners when they can.

Usually appointment management is only required when resources are over utilized and the decision will be for those resources to require an appointment. Otherwise, without appointments for those resources customers will be serviced on a first come first served basis (Walk-Ins - which may also be managed with this function).

EverywhereBridal/Prom/Retail Provides an appointment module to create and edit appointments from within or via a public facing web-site utilizing the iFrame code snippet provided. In addition Walk-In waiting lists may be maintained for fully booked days or immediate service customers.

The shop location may create or have an existing Google gMail account which includes a calendar. The credentials of the Gmail account may be added to the Store Setup form and when they are present, new appointments are automatically added to the shop's calendar for easy access / review from any device or smartphone. In addition, shop employees may also have Google gMail accounts and when their credentials are entered on the Manage Users form for each person, then the shop's customer appointments are automatically added to their calendar as well when the User is assigned the appointment. Finally, Customers will automatically receive a eMail appointment confirmation and with it the Customer may auto add the appointment to their calendar via the attached ICS appointment file. Appointment email content is defined in the System Setup form.

Before using the Appointment module a couple of set-up steps must be completed.

Customers are automatically sent emails once an appointment is Confirmed.
