Departments
Larger stores may wish to segregate sales and hours by the Sales departments within the physical store location. Larger stores may have dedicated staff for a specific sales departments within the store and wish to analyze the sales and hours of that department. The Sales by Category report will provide a department sales breakdown when Departments are being utilized and assigned to each sales transaction.
In addition payments may be seen by department. This is important when a department has a responsibility for the payments received within it. The Payments Report can see payments by department.
EverywhereBridal/Prom/Retail has pre-set department descriptions configured and a single department may be assigned to a staff member from within the User form. Once a department is assigned to a User it will be automatically applied to time clock entries, sales transactions and payments created by the User once they are logged into the system.
Managers, if/when necessary, may be able to alter the department applied to any transaction from the Ticket -> Sales Edit form or any sale or payment transaction.
Managers may also alter the department assigned to themselves within a logged in session, since they oftentimes float between departments and when they create sales or payment transactions their currently assigned Department will be tagged to the transaction created. Department assignment swapping is accomplished from the Home page Administration section.
Users are assigned to departments and ticket transactions created by the User are automatically assigned to their department.
Managers are able to edit the department of the transactions if necessary.
