SMS Templates

Administration-> Templates-> SMS Templates

SMS templates may be created to offer standard SMS content to be sent to customers by system users on an "ad-hoc" basis from Customer/Event member (and other) forms by clicking the SMS button when present.
SMS automation triggered templates may be created for use within the Automation module.

SMS messages are ASCII text only. No formatting or images allowed.

A single SMS message is 160 characters and the template editor will not allow you to save a template over 160. However merge codes used, when replaced by the merge value may extend the characters within the message beyond 160 characters an when done the message will count as two SMS messages.

100 eMail an SMS messages are included in the EverywhereBridal/Prom/Retail monthly subscription. More monthly volume may be purchased.

Click CREATE button to add a new SMS template. Click the SMS name hyper link to edit an existing SMS template. Click the X on the same row to DELETE that SMS template.

On Create or Edit the SMS editor will appear with these elements:

Name ... Create a descriptive name

Type ... The source from where the the SMS template will be used. Appointment, Event, Ticket, Trigger. These are the system location from which an SMS may be sent. Only templates with the TRIGGER source will be available for Automation sending.

Trigger Type Source .. This appears with Type is set to TRIGGER and source options match the leading Source name on the Trigger.

Template ... Enter the text of the SMS. Available merge codes appear to the right of the template form. Click on the merge code button to have it insert and the last cursor location. When sending the SMS from the SOURCE location the merge codes will be automatically replaced with the values of the source.
